and that is a lot, the largest municipal road network in northern california, and the problem is keeping them in good condition cost as lot of money. a report was released on the san jose roads and 60 percent of the roads show significant distress. san jose residents are very concerned. opinions show street repair have the lettest repair of any city service. transportation and environment committee show a lot of money is needed to eliminate the backlog. the department of transportation estimates it would need $504 million of funding to him not the backlog of poor and galed roads and $104 million each year to raise the condition from "fair," to "good," $80 million more a year than current. several recommendations remain made including finding consistent annual funding, and improving technology resources and grabbing transparency and

accountability. that would include maps on the web showing the road conditions and planned maintenance. a map of the city road conditions is found on our website as abc7news.com with a link on our site. also livermore police working through the night and morning to learn about the shooting death of two young men in a quiet neighbor. several people called police after hearing shots fired. it was at 4:30 yesterday afternoon. we were the only news crew there when officers detain add suspect last night. police found a man dead at the home. they took a second victim to the hospital. he did not survive. amy hollyfield is at the scene with more at 6:30. >> the hunt is over for three murder suspects accused of killing an elderly sonoma county woman.

here is how they were caught. two of the suspects led police on a high speed chase all the way to arizona. 27-year-old victor silva surrendered and arrested. the other suspect would not and was killed by a sheriff deputy. silva is waiting to be extradicted. the pair are murder suchs in the death of an 84-year-old woman who was found dead in a chair at her home on thursday. she has lived there for decades with her brother. he was not home at time. it is not known why she was targeted. the sheriff deputies spotted two of the three suspects in a car on saturday. deputies in law enforcement from several agencies chased them for 100 miles until they crossed into arizona. officers put out spike strips and the car crashed. one of the suspects was killed after refusing to drop the weapon. during the chase that person was firing shots at passing

motorists and at a police officer who was not hit. there is a third suspect in the case 27-year-old john martinez who was arrested in richmond. he is held at sonoma county jail on no bail and scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow. the parents of a woman charged in the death of her son are standing by their daughter. she in yolo county jail arrested for killing her son, santa cruz disreese last the parents say their daughter has never been in trouble with the grew we know had our saturdays she would never do anything to intentionally harm her newborn son. she is scheduled to be in court on wednesday. >> israeli prime minister binyamin netanyahu will speak at the conference of a pro israel

covering san rafael, south bay, pleasanton and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. >> good morning, everyone on this monday march 2nd. this is the eastern span of the bay bridge. traffic is moving right along. one person is dead. two are hospitalized. there was a shooting in richmond. it happened before 4:00 yesterday near 15th street. police say the shooting happened after an argument between several people. one suspect has been arrested. >> a man in southern california has died after falling 3,000' from a paraglider. the man was paragliding with his daughter in santa barbara and he fell. he was not strapped in correctly. authorities say the daughter remained strapped in and watched
